In Greek mythology Prometheus stole fire from the Gods and gave it to the humans by hiding an ember inside a hollow piece of wood as he left Mount Olympus. Personal Hearths's form draws upon this story by incorporating a discrete wooden box and drawer. It is intended as a simple candleholder with matches stored beneath, or to be used in meditation. It holds cone- or stick-incense and the box can house small objects or notes for use in a meditation ritual.
